David P. Lindquist, ASA, Antiques
David Lindquist is a nationally respected expert in the field of antiques authentication, working as an authenticator and consultant for museums and appraisers throughout the United States. For more than 25 years he was an Accredited Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers, specializing in both Antiques and Residential Contents. He is certified in the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and is a member of the International Society of Appraisers.
Mr. Lindquist is a noted author in the field of antiques and has written a series of books on antique furniture: Colonial Revival Furniture (1993), English and Continental Furniture (1994), and Victorian Furniture (1995). His collection was re-published by Krause Publications in 2002 as the single volume, Big Book of Antique Furniture. Mr. Lindquist is a member of the North Carolina Association of Dealers in Antiques. He has participated in appraisal clinics at the Blue Grass Trust Antiques Show in Lexington, KY, the Providence, RI, Antiques Show, the Minneapolis Art Institute Antiques Show, the Historical Society of Berks County, Reading, PA, and others. He lectures extensively throughout the United States on antique furniture, silver, identifying fakes and reproductions, and other topics of interest to dealers, collectors, professional appraisers, and novices.
Mr. Lindquist makes frequent radio and TV appearances around the country, and his series on antiques is featured on the Home and Garden Television (HGTV) programs, Today at Home, and Our Place. Lindquist on Antiques, a monthly column, has been featured in MidAtlantic Antiques Magazine, Carolina Antique News, The Antique Press, West Coast Peddler, Collector Magazine, Antiques Today, Antique Week, and New England Antiques Journal.
Mr. Lindquist earned a BA degree from Drury College, Springfield, Missouri and an MA from Duke University.
