Patti J. Geolat, GG, FGA, ASA, ARM, CIOP, founder and CEO of Geolat Companies, started her career at a jewelry sales counter, and today is a widely known authority on the appraisal, brokerage and sale of fine jewelry. Her clientele includes many top regional jewelry chains and local independent shops as well as a number of the world’s finest jewelry houses, and an extensive network of private and industry collectors. She is a published author and sought after public speaker with a distinguished reputation for excellence, confidentiality and professionalism. Her many credentials include: Graduate Gemologist (GG), Gemological Institute of America; Fellow (FGA), Gemological Association of Great Britain; Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), American Society of Appraisers; Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Insurance Institute of America; and Chartered Insurance Operations Professional (CIOP). Patti’s professional affiliations include a 15-year term of service on the Board of Directors of Jewelers Mutual Insurance Co., the jewelry industry’s leading insurer, including nine as chairman, and a one-year term as the company’s interim CEO. In addition, she has served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of the American Gem Trade Association’s Gemological Testing Center, and has served on AGTA’s Board of Governors and its Industry Rules Committee. Currently she serves on the boards of the North Texas Crime Commission, Jewelers’ Security Alliance and the Women’s Jewelry Association.
